Dressage/Combined Training (Jumping) Lessons:

• Group Dressage and Combined Training Horseback Riding Lessons with Vanessa Conner.
• Students should be 7 years old or older.
• Dressage and jumping instructor Vanessa Conner has enjoyed the friendship of horses for 36+ years as a rider, competitor, former stable owner, former barn manager, trainer, and instructor. She has been a professional riding instructor and trainer in the Austin area for more than 19 years, teaching hundreds of riding students of all ages and levels of experience. Her teaching philosophy is one of safety and fun in a relaxed, supportive, positive atmosphere where both riders and horses enjoy working together toward any goal, whether it is learning to groom or going to national level shows. Over the years Vanessa has produced many local and regional champions, but her lesson program is really about having fun while learning the nuances and incredible rewards of learning to ride and communicate with horses. She teaches riders from age 7 to adult and specializes in English riding in the disciplines of dressage, eventing and jumping. Vanessa is available for lessons at the Ramaker Stables in Leander, Texas, off-site cross-country clinics, horse show coaching, and horse training. As a certified educator, Vanessa offers middle and high school physical education credit for school-aged riders in the Austin, Leander and Round Rock school districts. She is also a full-time high school English teacher in Round Rock I.S.D and the proud mother of Kaitlyn Conner, an up-and-coming young equestrian herself!

Austin, Texas, Georgetown, Cedar Park, Leander, Liberty Hill, Round Rock,

Western or English Lessons:

• Pprivate, semi-private, and group lessons available (groups limited to 4)
• Riders may start at age 5 (30 min. lessons only for small children)
• Teaching beginner to intermediate level riders
• All riders must wear a helmet and heeled shoes (preferably boots)
• Lydia has been working with horses from the time she could walk and was competing by age 5. Today, she has 20 years experience in riding, and has been teaching lessons and clinics for the last 6 years. Lydia has competed in Hunter/Jumpers, Dressage, and Morgan’s with numerous regional wins and many World Top 10’s. She attended Texas A&M University earning a degree in Animal Science with an Emphasis in Equine Studies, while at A&M, Lydia taught the A&M Horsemanship School program to 4-Hers across North Texas. Today, Lydia focuses on using proven Classical Dressage methods and Natural Horsemanship to create partnerships between horse and rider. Lydia specializes in teaching beginner to intermediate level riders in basic riding for western, hunter under saddle, dressage, horsemanship and showmanship. Lydia teaches english and western lessons with an emphasis in correct seat, leg and rein aids. Typically a lesson for a beginner would include teaching proper handling (haltering, leading, grooming) tacking, and riding. She also enjoys helping horses with people problems and teaching students to train their own horses.
